✦ What is a zine? ✦
A zine - shortened from magazine - is a collection of contents writings and artworks in a bound booklet and is usually a collaborative work. There have been many zines organized based on various fandoms, from ships, AUs, What-Ifs, slices of life and so on. Depending on the nature of the zines, they are put up for sale and usually, the sales are donated to a selected charity that will be announced by the organizer(s).✦ What is this zine about? ✦
Song of the Captain is a fanzine focused on Captain Rex.✦ Will the zine be digital or physical? ✦
The zine will most likely be physical and digital.✦ Will there be merch? ✦
Due to high interest it looks like a strong possibility, yes.✦ Is there a place to check on the IC results? ✦
We'll post the results of our interest check here on our carrd with an announcement on our socials.✦ What is this zines stance on shipping? ✦
No ships of any kind will be permitted into the zine.✦ Will there be NSFW content? ✦
Only in the NSFW digital add-on. There will be no NSFW content in the main zine.✦ How do I apply? ✦
As of now there are no positions open for applications either mod or contributor. Announcements will be made when dates are chosen and the schedule will be updated.✦ Is there an age limit? ✦
Yes. for the main section of the zine there will be a 16+ age limit. For the digital NSFW add on there is an 18+ limit.✦ Do contributors get a copy of the zine? ✦
All contributors are guaranteed a digital copy of the zine. It is our goal to also compensate contributors with a free copy of the zine but that all depends on how well sales go.✦ Are we allowed to use current WIPs for the zine? ✦
You can submit your current WIP as one of your pitches but depending on the other topics others submit the mods may select a different pitch to promote a variety of topics within the zine.✦ Do you intend to do another zine at a later date? ✦
Potentially. All depends on how this one goes and if there is any interest for another.
